Mark Denholm

The art of making a deal is what drives me, and that is what I love about this business.  The more moving parts, the more complicated, the more I love it.  I appreciate the occasional easy transaction, but working through all the challenges of a difficult deal gives me great pride.

Persistence is one key to success, which was a lesson Al Gianini taught me before I even I was hired by him at CB Richard Ellis.  I’m a bull dog when I get ahold of a deal, and I pride myself on exceeding my client’s expectations – under-promise and over-deliver.

Also important to success are great relationships.  I have had the great fortune of working with my partners John DuBois and Jon Gianulias and I’ve learned much from them both.  Perhaps most importantly is always have fun, value ALL relationships and focus on what is right for the client.

My wife Judi and I focus much of our attention on our 3 children.  Our free time is spent at their competitive sporting events, taking us all over the country.  My 2 boys have a passion & talent for baseball and my daughter for Cheer and LaCrosse.  I’ve coached my boys in baseball most of their lives and still love to work with them on the finer points of the game (the greatest game in the world if you understand the details).  I also love snowboarding and long 18 hole property tours.

I graduated from the Cal Poly, SLO with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.  While there I was a founding member of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity and was an active leader in the University as the Chairman of the Board.  Later I earned an MBA from the University of Chicago, Graduate School of Business with an emphasis in Finance and Real Estate. I am a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM).
